Unwind, loosen up and oh, something else. Hmm, you know what to do, let this heat things up to another level.. and stay up all night long.
Massive Attack, Kings of Leon, Glitch Mob & some other raaaather sensual remixes to get it on.
I was left to my own devices, and so, since I have been really into Bastille the past few months, decided to compile a playlist of Bastille's tunes but with a twist: remixed baby, and hey hey, with no flaws!
A remix for each of his songs that I love (Y) Enjoy!
I cannot begin to describe how these make me feel. Some eerily creeped out, some moved and some extremely happy. These are my favourite 10, progressing from le creepy to the most happiest/inspirational at the end.
I hope these make you feel what words fail to express.
Oh, and close your eyes for the beginning of the first song, it gives it a special feeling.
Ludovico Einaudi, Thomas Newman and Yann Tiersen amongst some
Phosphenes (n) - The stars and colours you see when you rub you eyes
Close your eyes
SO, I just finished my finals... I guess this is the beginning of new, beautiful things to come chyeaaaaaah! So here are some new & old happy, upbeat tunes to energize you anytime, anywhere.
Loads of new mixes to come cause I have been limited the past weeks due to exams. It shall all be unleased now ;)
Alt-J, Crystal Fighters and King Charles to get you going amongst some
Springtime with a folkish feel - haven't made a folkish one of these for some time, and I've been loving Passenger and Bastille the past months, so it was only appropriate that this be made. Few songs, but I decided to keep it short and sweet.
If I had a field next to my house, I'd walk throught the field to these songs and watch the clouds roll by. Sadly, I cannot. Passenger, Bastille and Mumford & Sons amongst some.
Tide out, tide in. A flood of blood to the heart, delve in, float around a bit in that fishbowl and then become a star.
10 Ultimate chill and unwinde-to songs. I draw to these of an evening, or just stare out my window at them when I'm feeling empty, playing them repetitively.
Your pasttimes, consisted of the strange, and twisted and deranged, and I love that little game you had
An addition to the first volume. These have been on repeat in my house and I have successfully made sure the neighbourhood have learnt them preeetty well by now
14 tunes, great for listening to late at night with a beer and no care in the world. Enjoy ;)
Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, The Raconteurs amongst some.
I grouped all of the instrumental piano tunes from all my past Read More, Write More mixes into one: almost FOUR hours of productivity guaranteed! In order of my favourites, 57 tracks, happy reading.
Inspired by Pride & Prejudiced as always, hope this helps in your studies.
Dario Marianelli, Ludovico Einaudi, Rachel Portman amongst them.
ps. Big thank you to @amari00 for introducing me to http://www.rainymood.com It works really well with these tunes! Check it out
Been listening to a lot of these lately.. decided to try and collect my favourite alternative/indie rock tunes and group them together.
25 tunes, great for listening to late at night with a beer and no care in the world. Enjoy ;)
The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala amongst a few.
Something quite different for a change
I've had these tracks on repeat all of January- slightly saddening tunes, but featuring my favourites by The Smiths, Joy Division and Radiohead mostly, which I've come to love.
Some Cocteau Twins too ;)
So I've been listening to these a lot lately- not sure what this mix is exactly but I'm feeling it. It's more upbeat than usual I guess.
I'm in love with Tame Impala.
I've also included some Black Keys, The Strokes and Radiohead in this ;)
I was meant to publish this just before New Year's- in any case, here is a collection of ten of my most played 2012 tracks- in this mix they are all covered! I had a hard time narrowing them down, but these are amongst my favourites.
The Black Keys, alt-J, Mumford & Sons amongst the ones whom are covered and the ones who are covering ;)
It's a melancholy Monday and I am waiting for snow so I thought a selection of rather calm, soothing folk tunes would be appropriate for tonight.
Of Monsters Men, Mumford & Sons, Bastille amongst some.
I like these fairy lights. Next mix shall be a happier one
16 songs to listen and think;
"My demons, though quiet, are never quite silenced. Calm as they may be. They wait patiently for a reason to wake, take an overdue breathe and crawl back to my ear."

Here's a fourth addition my original,"Read More, Write More" playlist. Avoid procrastination and improve productivity with these melodic, studious tracks. I'm currently reading Atonement to this playlist so I thought another sequel was required..
Dario Marianelli, Rachel Portman, Ludovico Einaudi again amongst the few...
ps. Thank you for the playlist name suggestion!
With tired eyes, we slept.
I hope these tunes help you unwind after a long and tiring day. They say that listening to calming music before you sleep shapes your dreams... Similar in some ways to my study playlists, but the instrumental tracks chosen are a tad different. This will hopefully send you to sleep as soon as possible..
Debussy, Yiruma and Alexandre Desplat amongst some, promise you a relaxing night.
Dedicated to Illy, Anna, Ari and Ioli- I know you're seeing this koritsoubia!
Some more rather chilly tunes to unwind and drift away to (Mostly indie remixed tunes into chillstep). I'm just getting into chillstep, so this is my second go at this kind of thing, and is unlike my usual musical choices, but hey, they say new things are always good to try.
Chillstep Remixes of songs by Daughter, Bon Iver and Benjamin Frances Leftwich amongst a few.
Check out my first chillstep mix Vol.I at: http://8tracks.com/littlelionwoman/a-chillstep-situation

Birdy, Mumford & Sons, Angus & Julia Stone amongst some of the soothers.
ps. the circles images make their grand return dun dun dunnn ;)
I woke up planning to make a sleep mix today but this turned out a little bit different.. You need a cup of tea, some oversized jumpers and a pair of socks to listen to this playlist in the most effective manner. The cold outside is getting unbearable so this can reflect my freezing, melancholic Sunday mood tonight. I'm off to bed with this!
I keep listening to Daughter and Ed Sheeran lately so I had to include some more songs of theirs amongst this mix. Some of The Civil Wars in there too
It's cold outside and when the weather is horrible as it is today, I either listen to sad music or scavenge around for remixes instead. Because I felt that my Sunday shouldn't be too depressing with sad music, instead, here's a mix only with ten remixes which are new to me, and which I look forward to listening to for the rest of the month! This is all I shall be listening too.
Including remixes of songs by Band of Horses, Coeur De Pirate and XXYYXX amongst some.
Here's a third addition my original,"Read More, Write More" playlist. Avoid procrastination and improve productivity with these melodic, studious tracks. I'm currently reading Sylvia Plath's "The Bell Jar" to this playlist so I thought another sequel was required.. Happy focusing!
Dario Marianelli, Rachel Portman, Ludovico Einaudi again amongst the few...
Tracks for contemplating in solitude the beautiful and the haunting, with a tad of a melancholic aura surrounding it. Perfect for waking up to on cold, misty winter mornings.
Daughter, Bon Iver and Cocteau Twins amongst some.
Break out the frosted tips and your best popped collar. These are the hits that would grace every version of NOW! That's What I Call Music... and you loved it.
"I'll steal your honey like I stole your bike."
Ten lovely melancholy tracks in order to contemplate the emptiness, the loneliness which surrounds us from time to time. I imagine myself walking along a pier by the seaside at winter whilst listening to these tracks..
Enjoy and let the loneliness surround you.
Circle picture coming up with the next mix.
Inspired by Mumford & Son's new release of "Babel" last week, and due to the rather melancholic atmosphere hanging around me this Sunday night, here's the playlist that expresses this Sunday. In all it's folky goodness, to take away the blues of Monday. How I hate Mondays. But let's stick to Sunday for now.
The Tallest Man on Earth, James Vincent McMorrow and Mumford & Sons amongst some.
Here's a follow up to my original,"Read More, Write More" playlist. Avoid procrastination and improve productivity with these melodic, studious tracks. I'm currently working on poetry by Wordsworth as I type and redrafting that Pride & Prejudice assignment from the summer, so because I am getting a bit frustrated with the work, I thought this would be the best time to make this sequel to the original playlist. Happy focusing!
Dario Marianelli, Ludovico Einaudi, Rachel Portman amongst a few.
20 rather chilly tunes to unwind and drift away to. (Mostly indie remixed tunes into chillstep). I'm just getting into chillstep, so this is my first go at this kind of thing, and is unlike my usual musical choices, but hey, they say new things are always good to try. I also found many istrumental chill songs but decided not to include them here, as i wanted this mix to include vocals too!

ps. I decided to not have a circle image this time. But on the next mix, there will be a circle image. Also, big mix coming up next week ;) Been working on it especially.
I have such an unbearable urge to cry right now, and because I tend to make mixes depending on my mood, I've decided that I'll make this mix instead of crying. Disappointed. Sad. My top 10 cry-to tracks, in no particular order. (+1 sad cherished Greek song to end the mix)
Another mix therefore for
Damien Rice, Ben Howard, Birdy.
ps. Oh hey, note the usual circle image that I'm pulling off.

Do I hear Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and The Doors amongst some of the few? Shine on you crazy diamond.
I heart the Mumfords: that's where I get my lion name from. So, whether it be acoustic versions by the Mumfords themselves, remixes of their songs, or covers by other artists, its all packed into this mumford-only playlist.

For those nights with books - the study kind or the ones you love. This will keep you focused and make you feel more at ease. No words. Just sounds.
Thanks to everyone who gave such kind feedback! I continue to add songs weekly so that this playlist will last as long as your school work does (and trust me, I know that that could be a long time).
"I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I was beginning to believe that at very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you."
While you listen to these tracks, recall the times of pure happiness in your younger years- the moments that made you feel infinite. Now is the time to recreate them. You will never be as young as you are tonight.
Amidst all the poop, there were a few incredible records this year. Here are my favorites: From Paul Simon's life-searching masterpiece, to Amy Winehouse's swan song of unreleased soul symphonies, to the debut Love Bucket EP from Zac Yurkovic (and that's yours truly playing electric guitar on his track). May GREAT MUSIC rise in 2012!

A glamourish, all-female acoustic mix. I added the original singer/band to the songtitles for further information, so you can always find the original. Twenty-four tracks including music by Cat Power (photo), Nouvelle Vague, Angus & Julia Stone and many others.
Since many of you have been asking me for the tracklist, here it is (in a comment below).

If you liked this, here's part 2! http://8tracks.com/thenight0wl/roadtrip-to-tranquility-part-2
So yeah, the title sums this one up. These are tracks I'd want to get busy too, but alas I am not involved with anyone. If you're fortunate to have a significant other, this can be some songs to get in the mood or do the dirty to. Either way, i think this works for those purposes.
and if after all of this you find yourself still sexually frustrated, i have a continuation of sorts: http://8tracks.com/dnic/still-sexually-frustrated
A playlist i use when the mood requires something a little more rock orientated.Great if your having a long social session, plenty of classics and some gems you may not be familiar with.
the first 3 tracks should give you a rough idea of what to expect.Rock isn't my forte but i could smoke to any of these without problems.

Second, my posts, pictures, yummy things, interesting things, post more often.
And third the content. I have the product, I have the pictures, and I have time :) it’s all perfect
